The Airspeed-Sensor kit is a model-safety extra for the Jetronic-Vx turbine controller. A Pitot Static-tube (System Prandtl) and an electronic pressure sensor measures the real speed in the air. Where the Static-tube is mounted in flight direction and the pressure sensor somewhere in the fuselage. Both units are connected together by small tubings for the static- and stagnation air.

Functions of the Jetronic-Vx turbine controller for the Airspeed-Sensor:

  • Measuring the flight-speed
  • Logging the covered distance
  • Logging the top-speed (Vmax.)
  • Automatic throttle-down when exceeding the speed-limit (adjustable and switchable)

Kit contents:

  • Pitot-Static tube (inspected, ready to use)
  • Electronic pressure sensor 0 - 60 mbar (corresponds 0 - 420 km/h / 261 mph)
  • 50 cm flexible tubing 3 mm
  • Pitot mount with assembly parts
